A Word from Chester about "Little Red Riding Hood"...
FOLKS--- there's just somethin' I don't understand. I know I'm only a dog, but I don't like that "Little Red Riding Hood" story! It gives us dogs a bad name. Ma says that it's not a "dog" in the story, but a related canine called a "wolf". But I say, how's a little kid supposed to tell whether it's a dog or a wolf cause a wolf looks a lot like a dog to a little kid?
And why does the dog in the story wanna do all those bad things to the grandmommy and the little girl? I love my grandmommy! She brings me bones and hides treats for me. She even comes to the dog park with me sometimes and that's hard 'cause it messes up her hairdo! Why'd anybody wanna hurt a grandmommy???
I like little girls, too, and I don't like it at all if they get hurt or cry. I don't want any harm to come to ''em.! I sure wouldn't want to, but I'd show my teeth to protect a little girl.
Come to think of it, the dog got a bad rap in that story about the pigs too. I don't know of any dogs that go around huffin' and puffin' down houses just because they're mean! We usually protect houses (and the creatures inside of 'em).
Anyway, have you ever seen a dog wearin' a nightgown? I don't get it!
I've talked to all my friends at the dog park, and they don't get it either. I guess it's just another scary thing in life like the vacuum cleaner or like when they try to cut your toes off but they tell you they're just trying to do somethin' called "trimming your nails." I say "no way, no way" are they gonna cut my toes off!
SO DOGS---Keep your tails waggin' and show your grandmommies ya love 'em.....
